Victorian Dollhouse Miniatures - Living Room 1:12 scale.
This is the living room of my Greenleaf Beacon Hill dollhouse. This room I change a lot; you will notice different rugs. Sometimes I will move the piano out because it takes up so much room. To see more of the outside, see part 1 of my Victorian Dollhouse Miniatures.
My fimo roses and paper lilacs, laser cut fern and doilies. |
These little peeps must have traveled to exotic places and have a collection throughout their house. |
This is a narrow and awkward shaped room so it is difficult to get the camera in to take photos! Next post: Miniature Kitchen and Dining Room so stay tuned!
Hello! I just joined your blog but I don't have one of my own. Sorry! I must say you have exquisite taste. Your chosen colours are very uplifting. I cannot get enough of looking at all your beautiful accessories. I also love your choice of wallpaper and carpets. I am very much looking forward to seeing the rest of your house. Thank you so very much for sharing this.
ReplyDeleteLucille, thanks so much! After all these years I am still glad I picked the blue!
DeleteBeautiful room! I love the Asian style bits and your gorgeous flowers. This is a really peaceful room to look at. I'm looking forward to seeing more of the interior. xo Jennifer

Birgit, Thank-you, it really was a challenge, I think I even had to hand hold the camera a few times because the tripod just couldn't get the right angle!
ReplyDeleteIt is a very beautiful room. I love the blue color and the small round table with wine. The little black chest is also very beautiful You made some good choices, very well done.

Wyrna, Thank-you so much :)
DeleteHello Heather! I have to commend you on an extremely pretty and atmospheric room! I am glad that you chose to use a plainer rug as it has calmed the floor and enabled the other items to become highlighted without diminishing anything in the process. I love the accessories on the piano and it would be a shame not to have it in the parlor because not many dollhouses are able to have one and this one fits so beautifully! You have a great eye for those little extra details that make a room special and also a great eye for coordinating colors. The repetition of the soft red cushions and the stronger red on the piano bench, tie the two elements together, as does the assorted collections of your china and nicknacks that show personality and cohesiveness to the entire room! I love it!

Elizabeth, thank you so much for the great review :)
DeleteWow, this is a gorgeous set up! I have two dollhouses from when I was younger, both of which are half-finished (I need to put in wallpaper and new electrical). Miniatures are so incredibly fun to decorate. :)
